Shaker Real Wood Dining Table

A modernized take on the tapered Shaker leg, our Medina Leg Table works with a variety of dining room decors and kitchen chair styles. While the table is shown in solid Cherry, your made-to-order Medina is available in nine domestic hardwoods and a large selection of hand-rubbed wood finishes. The solid hardwood leg table is pictured in a popular 42" x 66" base size, but each size will accommodate up to 12 extension leaves when it opens on wooden expansion slides.

The staple of the Medina Dining Collection, this expandable dining table will be Amish handcrafted just for you. Indicate your style preferences by completing our online options menu and requesting stain samples to view at home.

I was very pleased with the delivery and table. The man kept in touch with me for efficient delivery and put it together pleasantly. I like the table very much. However the other day I heard a metal sound like something had dropped on the floor, and I found a screw from the table. So my son will lay on the floor, look up and reinsert that screw carefully. Yes, I'd give you five stars!

We bought this table recently as our kitchen/dining table since we don't have a separate dining room. We love the look and feel, the pieces fit together incredibly smoothly and lock in place, and the leaves expand the table perfectly. We bought the 36x60 -- the table without any leaves can fit 4 people comfortably, or 6 people tightly. The table with both leaves can fit 8 people comfortably, or 12 people tightly. My husband loves the look of the rough sawn maple, where the "imperfections" add to the aesthetic, and it's both a visually elegant and a perfect "tavern table" feel at the same time.

SIZE: My wife and I love our table. We're a large, nuclear family (four children). We eat together at least once a day; we play lots of board games, and there's lots of homework! Our extended family lives nearby so we wanted a table large enough to seat them. Once the two leaves are out, we can seat 10 comfortably. (Maybe 12 ... if they really like their neighbors.) STYLE: We liked this table for its simplicity and traditional Japanese (through tenon and trestle legs) look. Our children tend to make lots of messes so working around the feet is easy (Roomba is more thorough as well). We also like the ability to fit chairs where the legs rest, comfortably. FIT FINISH: The table is well made. The finish is even, hard, and beautiful. We chose Oak with Winter Bark to contrast our natural hickory floors. I have two complaints. The first is the joinery where the two edges meet in the middle. There's a slight bow in the middle which causes a 1/16th gap on each end. Not a huge deal, and to be expected from handmade furniture. My second issue is the through tenon. It's not real. The ends are faux covers to hide the bolts that hold the table together. The description even states "mortise & tenon trestle". I may end up making my own someday when the warranty and kids are gone. COMPANY: They're very communicative and friendly. The delivery company set up the table and made sure it was level and we were happy. We'll be buying from them again.
