Our sample-ordering process ensures you can see, touch, and compare wood finishes and swatches in your own home before you commit. Below, you’ll find everything you need to know—organized for your convenience.

Step-by-Step Process of Ordering Wood Stain Samples

Request samples as part of your order - Not sure about what stains you want for your wood furniture? When completing your initial order, choose the top option in the menu drop-down under Wood Finish, reading “Request samples at checkout.” 

During the checkout process, you’ll be able to pick out the four stains that catch your eye. If none of the ones you pick don’t quite strike your fancy, don’t worry; our team will send you more if needed. 

Samples represent general color options and may not display all grain patterns. We offer wood samples only, not liquid stain or liquid stain samples.

 

Order confirmation  -  Within one business day you’ll receive an email confirming your selections, complete with unique sample codes and a USPS tracking link. Please review your shipping address carefully and let us know immediately if any corrections are needed.

 

We ship your samples via USPS - All samples ship via USPS First Class Mail at no additional charge, with typical transit times of 2-4 business days. If any sample is delayed or lost in transit, simply notify us and we’ll dispatch a replacement right away.

 

Take your time to make your final choice - When your samples arrive, place them in the rooms where your new furniture will live and view them under both natural daylight and artificial lighting. Observe how each finish interacts with your wall colors, flooring, and existing furnishings to ensure the best match. If needed, we can send additional stain samples. 

 

Confirm your favorite stain - Once you’ve made your choice, reach out to our team with the sample code for your selected finish.

What About Leather and Fabric Samples

We’ll gladly send leather and fabric samples to your home if you buy upholstered furniture. While the process of selecting leather mimics that of selecting wood stains, choosing fabrics has a few extra steps, as explained in this guide.

  2. Explore their website, navigating to the prints you like best (don’t worry about the listed prices, as Countryside Amish Furniture won’t charge you extra)
