We purchased the Ashland set including a coffee table, an end table, and a chairside table. We are very happy with the simplicity, quality, and style. I had been looking for tables at other stores, and the quality of this furniture is well worth the money. I hope to be able to pass these on to a grandchild or niece or nephew. Ordering furniture without seeing it in person requires a bit of faith. Countryside was recommended to me by my sister, her dining table turned out great. I was on the hunt for the perfect mid-century bedroom set that would be built to last. I settled on the Cove City very quickly but I needed help when it came to wood and stain choice. Lauren was so patient with my inquiries, I even got 10 different stain samples. She was there every step of the way to answer my questions about wood grain, stain undertones, and all things design. The end result is a GORGEOUS set that perfectly suits our style. The wait is well worth it. We are so happy with our purchase and will definitely be recommending Countryside to anyone looking for furniture to last a lifetime.

We knew in advance about the enduring quality of the furniture at Countryside Amish but the beauty of the design and the wood itself is a whole other experience in the context of our home. And "white glove" doesn't even begin to describe the gentle, meticulous manner in which the set was delivered and assembled. We expect that future generations of family will revere this furniture as an unmatchable heirloom.

SIZE: My wife and I love our table. We're a large, nuclear family (four children). We eat together at least once a day; we play lots of board games, and there's lots of homework! Our extended family lives nearby so we wanted a table large enough to seat them. Once the two leaves are out, we can seat 10 comfortably. (Maybe 12 ... if they really like their neighbors.)
STYLE: We liked this table for its simplicity and traditional Japanese (through tenon and trestle legs) look. Our children tend to make lots of messes so working around the feet is easy (Roomba is more thorough as well). We also like the ability to fit chairs where the legs rest, comfortably.
FIT FINISH: The table is well made. The finish is even, hard, and beautiful. We chose Oak with Winter Bark to contrast our natural hickory floors. I have two complaints. The first is the joinery where the two edges meet in the middle. There's a slight bow in the middle which causes a 1/16th gap on each end. Not a huge deal, and to be expected from handmade furniture. My second issue is the through tenon. It's not real. The ends are faux covers to hide the bolts that hold the table together. The description even states "mortise & tenon trestle". I may end up making my own someday when the warranty and kids are gone.
COMPANY: They're very communicative and friendly. The delivery company set up the table and made sure it was level and we were happy. We'll be buying from them again.
