I wanted to let you know that the entire experience and the resulting table have been fantastic! The table was customizable to my exact specifications, it was ready in half the time quoted, the delivery experience was well coordinated and carried out by a skilled furniture delivery person (no freight carrier), and the table is STUNNING and made with a more durable finish than any major online or brick-and-mortar furniture store…even those that are far more expensive.

The Ricci Table, with its truly unique and stunning twist pedestal design, immediately caught my eye and reminded me vividly of a DNA double helix – it's a spectacular focal point in my dining area. SIZE: My wife and I love our table. We're a large, nuclear family (four children). We eat together at least once a day; we play lots of board games, and there's lots of homework! Our extended family lives nearby so we wanted a table large enough to seat them. Once the two leaves are out, we can seat 10 comfortably. (Maybe 12 ... if they really like their neighbors.)
STYLE: We liked this table for its simplicity and traditional Japanese (through tenon and trestle legs) look. Our children tend to make lots of messes so working around the feet is easy (Roomba is more thorough as well). We also like the ability to fit chairs where the legs rest, comfortably.
FIT FINISH: The table is well made. The finish is even, hard, and beautiful. We chose Oak with Winter Bark to contrast our natural hickory floors. I have two complaints. The first is the joinery where the two edges meet in the middle. There's a slight bow in the middle which causes a 1/16th gap on each end. Not a huge deal, and to be expected from handmade furniture. My second issue is the through tenon. It's not real. The ends are faux covers to hide the bolts that hold the table together. The description even states "mortise & tenon trestle". I may end up making my own someday when the warranty and kids are gone.
COMPANY: They're very communicative and friendly. The delivery company set up the table and made sure it was level and we were happy. We'll be buying from them again.

The Harcourt Contemporary Pedestal Table and the Chasten Dining Chairs are absolutely, utterly, completely GORGEOUS!!! I get this soft smile every time I walk by or sit down - still, after all this time. They're classically beautiful together. The curves. The wood grain. The craftsmanship. And the delivery was flawless. Polite. Efficient. Carefully intelligent. But back to the table and chairs - I mean it - they have become the centerpiece of the great room. And the stain is absolutely perfect.
