Borden Rustic Trestle Table

I just wanted to let you know our table has arrived. The gentlemen delivering it were great, super professional, right on time, and got in and out. The table is really beautiful. It's exactly what we were looking for and matches the two corner pieces we bought from you several years ago perfectly. Ok, this is about to sound like a commercial, but when you find something amazing you have to share. Some things are worth waiting for!! When we decided to settle in one place we both agreed that it was time for a new kitchen table. After an EXTENSIVE search, I found Countryside Amish Furniture, LLC . Solid wood (nothing engineered and no veneers), amazing construction, comparable in price to other stores, I was able to pick the wood and stain color, $150 nationwide delivery, and a military discount! The only downside is that it took 20 weeks to get it from the time I placed my order, but I knew that going in. Ooh, and the customer service experience was top-notch! With two internal butterfly leaves it goes from seating 6 to up to 14 with the right chair configuration. I am in love!!!

The split pedestal table is made well and just right for us. Small enough for the two of us but with a half dozen leaves, big enough for all the kids and grands!

I've purchased several pieces of furniture from COUNTRYSIDE Amish Furniture and have found all to be of exceptional quality from dining room tables and chairs to a bookcase and bedroom side tables. Great furniture, great store.

SIZE: My wife and I love our table. We're a large, nuclear family (four children). We eat together at least once a day; we play lots of board games, and there's lots of homework! Our extended family lives nearby so we wanted a table large enough to seat them. Once the two leaves are out, we can seat 10 comfortably. (Maybe 12 ... if they really like their neighbors.) STYLE: We liked this table for its simplicity and traditional Japanese (through tenon and trestle legs) look. Our children tend to make lots of messes so working around the feet is easy (Roomba is more thorough as well). We also like the ability to fit chairs where the legs rest, comfortably. FIT FINISH: The table is well made. The finish is even, hard, and beautiful. We chose Oak with Winter Bark to contrast our natural hickory floors. I have two complaints. The first is the joinery where the two edges meet in the middle. There's a slight bow in the middle which causes a 1/16th gap on each end. Not a huge deal, and to be expected from handmade furniture. My second issue is the through tenon. It's not real. The ends are faux covers to hide the bolts that hold the table together. The description even states "mortise & tenon trestle". I may end up making my own someday when the warranty and kids are gone. COMPANY: They're very communicative and friendly. The delivery company set up the table and made sure it was level and we were happy. We'll be buying from them again.
