Amish Handcrafted Solid Wood Pub Tables
Every home with a dine-in kitchen, breakfast nook, game room, or man cave could use a trendy pub table. Perfect for children, teens, and adults these counter or bar height tables can be as functional as they are fashionable. Some of the terms and trends will be defined for you here so that you are happy with your choice in fine Amish pub furniture.
Pub Table: This table is 36" tall and intended for use with bar stools or pub chairs that are 24" tall. Perfect for a game of cards or other social gatherings, these tables work best in smaller entertaining areas where conversation is encouraged. A great use of these tables is also in an informal commercial setting like a coffe shop or bistro restaurant. Many of Countryside's customers utilize our furnishings at home as well as their place of business.
Gathering Table: Typically 42" in height, this table, also called a bar table, is sometimes used in foyers, bars, and other waiting areas. These tables are not always accompanied by chairs as the time around them in a public setting is expected to be short. In your home, if you prefer the taller table, a barstool or chair of 30" will be required for comfortable seating.

Now, let's discuss where you might use a pub table.
Eat-in Kitchen: When you want to be able to use the limited space of your larger kitchen, but you do not have a defined dining area, a pub table is a fun, family friendly option. They are easy to tuck into a corner or push up against a wall, and the accompanying chairs can serve double duty at your kitchen counter for breakfast.
Breakfast Nook: Whether your nook is a bay window or just a space in your kitchen with room for a little table, this is a great location for a pub or gathering table. Find out about different options with Solid Wood Breakfast Tables & Nooks.
Game Room: Whether you are watching one or playing one, games are the perfect place to enjoy a pub table. Casual in feel, but classic in style, when built by Countryside's Amish artisans, your game table can serve multiple purposes in homes for generations.
Man Cave: You have the bar, the big TV, and awesome leather recliners...but where will you eat your wings? A pub table is just the solution, and it works equally well for chess or poker, too.
Adult Entertaining Area:Your home is more wine and cheese than beer and brats, but we have a gathering table for you as well.
Dining Room: It may seem like an unlikely place, but our expandable island tables are perfect for the dining room or living room that occasionally needs to double as the family get-together hot spot. These tables can be purchased with an overhang and used in the center of the room as a cozy island with two bar stools. When you need to seat 10, you just pull out the tracks and leaves and build your own dining room table. If you prefer, you can order an island table with a hutch for storage or without the overhang to fit flush against the wall as a server until you need the large table. Whichever way you like it, the console portion of this table is pub height. The extended table, however, is standard dining height (30").
Whatever you prefer and wherever you put it, Countryside is here to serve you. Our pub and gathering tables are available in numerous wood species and too many paint and stain combinations to count. Our Amish craftsman can bring your vision to life no matter where you vision may take you. Built to order and built to last, your handcrafted pub table will be passed down for generations.
