Pedestal Dining Table with Leaf

Simple modern furniture design does not often land on a square pedestal table, so when it does, you should seize the moment. A handcrafted design and metal accents give the Wagoner Dining Table's base a bit of character while strong hanger bolts keep it firmly attached to the solid wood top. An oversized base conceals levelers, so your dinner won't be shaken up from an uneven floor.

Your Wagoner Dining Table is available in seven sizes with a number of finish options. Order your Amish handmade table as a solid top or extension table. The dining or kitchen table is pictured in Brown Maple with a hand-applied Venezuelan Chocolate wood finish. As shown, the table is standard with a square top shape and a subtle eased edge profile.

SIZE: My wife and I love our table. We're a large, nuclear family (four children). We eat together at least once a day; we play lots of board games, and there's lots of homework! Our extended family lives nearby so we wanted a table large enough to seat them. Once the two leaves are out, we can seat 10 comfortably. (Maybe 12 ... if they really like their neighbors.) STYLE: We liked this table for its simplicity and traditional Japanese (through tenon and trestle legs) look. Our children tend to make lots of messes so working around the feet is easy (Roomba is more thorough as well). We also like the ability to fit chairs where the legs rest, comfortably. FIT FINISH: The table is well made. The finish is even, hard, and beautiful. We chose Oak with Winter Bark to contrast our natural hickory floors. I have two complaints. The first is the joinery where the two edges meet in the middle. There's a slight bow in the middle which causes a 1/16th gap on each end. Not a huge deal, and to be expected from handmade furniture. My second issue is the through tenon. It's not real. The ends are faux covers to hide the bolts that hold the table together. The description even states "mortise & tenon trestle". I may end up making my own someday when the warranty and kids are gone. COMPANY: They're very communicative and friendly. The delivery company set up the table and made sure it was level and we were happy. We'll be buying from them again.
