Solid Wood Rectangle Kitchen Table

Customize your Harding Craftsman Leg Table when you choose the hardwood, size, leaves, shape, edge, and stain our Amish artisans will use when handcrafting it. As pictured, this solid wood kitchen table features our square corner shape and a Mission edge in Rustic Cherry. Wood slides open to accept as many as 12 leaves. Additional centered support legs will be added after the 3rd and 9th leaves to prevent sagging.

Each of the Arts & Crafts-inspired legs begins at 5"W and tapers to 2 3/4" at the floor. In each leg is an adjustable leveler to prevent wobbles during mealtime. Make your choices and add your Harding Craftsman Leg Table to your online shopping cart. We will take care of the rest.

The following sizes accept 12 leaves, self-store 4, 2 with apron:

  • 48" x 60"

  • 48" x 72"

*Leaves not included in dimensions. Each leaf adds 12".

Additional Information:

  • Floor to apron clearance is 26 1/2"H.
  • 5th leg added with 3rd leaf.
  • 6th leg added with 9th leaf.
  • Table legs are 5" x 2 3/4"

SIZE: My wife and I love our table. We're a large, nuclear family (four children). We eat together at least once a day; we play lots of board games, and there's lots of homework! Our extended family lives nearby so we wanted a table large enough to seat them. Once the two leaves are out, we can seat 10 comfortably. (Maybe 12 ... if they really like their neighbors.) STYLE: We liked this table for its simplicity and traditional Japanese (through tenon and trestle legs) look. Our children tend to make lots of messes so working around the feet is easy (Roomba is more thorough as well). We also like the ability to fit chairs where the legs rest, comfortably. FIT FINISH: The table is well made. The finish is even, hard, and beautiful. We chose Oak with Winter Bark to contrast our natural hickory floors. I have two complaints. The first is the joinery where the two edges meet in the middle. There's a slight bow in the middle which causes a 1/16th gap on each end. Not a huge deal, and to be expected from handmade furniture. My second issue is the through tenon. It's not real. The ends are faux covers to hide the bolts that hold the table together. The description even states "mortise & tenon trestle". I may end up making my own someday when the warranty and kids are gone. COMPANY: They're very communicative and friendly. The delivery company set up the table and made sure it was level and we were happy. We'll be buying from them again.
