Our purchase of our bed has been a positive experience in many ways. Initially we were a bit apprehensive in ordering on line without actually seeing the bed first. On several occasions we called Countryside and they were friendly, helpful, and professional. At our request, Countryside sent us several stain samples which greatly helped in our choice of stain. The shipping cost was very reasonable. The bed arrived very carefully protected by shipping blankets. The bed was quickly installed by the delivery folks. The bed is essentially in four parts, easily assembled, and very sturdy. All facets of the craftsmanship are outstanding. It is a wonderful compliment to our house and we look forward to years of satisfied service. I would recommend Countryside without the slightest reservation.

SIZE: My wife and I love our table. We're a large, nuclear family (four children). We eat together at least once a day; we play lots of board games, and there's lots of homework! Our extended family lives nearby so we wanted a table large enough to seat them. Once the two leaves are out, we can seat 10 comfortably. (Maybe 12 ... if they really like their neighbors.) STYLE: We liked this table for its simplicity and traditional Japanese (through tenon and trestle legs) look. Our children tend to make lots of messes so working around the feet is easy (Roomba is more thorough as well). We also like the ability to fit chairs where the legs rest, comfortably. FIT FINISH: The table is well made. The finish is even, hard, and beautiful. We chose Oak with Winter Bark to contrast our natural hickory floors. I have two complaints. The first is the joinery where the two edges meet in the middle. There's a slight bow in the middle which causes a 1/16th gap on each end. Not a huge deal, and to be expected from handmade furniture. My second issue is the through tenon. It's not real. The ends are faux covers to hide the bolts that hold the table together. The description even states "mortise & tenon trestle". I may end up making my own someday when the warranty and kids are gone. COMPANY: They're very communicative and friendly. The delivery company set up the table and made sure it was level and we were happy. We'll be buying from them again.

We absolutely love our new dining room table. We could not be any happier with our purchase. Also, the delivery person was amazing. We live in a residential neighborhood and because of the size of his truck, he had to dolly it down the street, in below zero temps. He was awesome, careful with the assembly, and friendly. We also appreciated the demonstration on the butterfly leaves.

well made good craftsmanship

I have purchased several items from Countryside Amish Furniture. All of them have been very high quality and although I had ordered them at different times the color matching was extremely good across all the pieces. These pieces are all solid wood tightly fitted and “true”.
