We absolutely love our new dining room table. We could not be any happier with our purchase. Also, the delivery person was amazing. We live in a residential neighborhood and because of the size of his truck, he had to dolly it down the street, in below zero temps. He was awesome, careful with the assembly, and friendly. We also appreciated the demonstration on the butterfly leaves.

SIZE: My wife and I love our table. We're a large, nuclear family (four children). We eat together at least once a day; we play lots of board games, and there's lots of homework! Our extended family lives nearby so we wanted a table large enough to seat them. Once the two leaves are out, we can seat 10 comfortably. (Maybe 12 ... if they really like their neighbors.) STYLE: We liked this table for its simplicity and traditional Japanese (through tenon and trestle legs) look. Our children tend to make lots of messes so working around the feet is easy (Roomba is more thorough as well). We also like the ability to fit chairs where the legs rest, comfortably. FIT FINISH: The table is well made. The finish is even, hard, and beautiful. We chose Oak with Winter Bark to contrast our natural hickory floors. I have two complaints. The first is the joinery where the two edges meet in the middle. There's a slight bow in the middle which causes a 1/16th gap on each end. Not a huge deal, and to be expected from handmade furniture. My second issue is the through tenon. It's not real. The ends are faux covers to hide the bolts that hold the table together. The description even states "mortise & tenon trestle". I may end up making my own someday when the warranty and kids are gone. COMPANY: They're very communicative and friendly. The delivery company set up the table and made sure it was level and we were happy. We'll be buying from them again.

It's exactly what we were looking for and matches the two corner pieces we bought from you several years ago perfectly. The Harcourt Contemporary Pedestal Table and the Chasten Dining Chairs are absolutely, utterly, completely GORGEOUS!!! I get this soft smile every time I walk by or sit down - still, after all this time. They're classically beautiful together. The curves. The wood grain. The craftsmanship. And the delivery was flawless. Polite. Efficient. Carefully intelligent. But back to the table and chairs - I mean it - they have become the centerpiece of the great room. And the stain is absolutely perfect.
