Once upon a time, Amish furniture was almost exclusively associated with Oak dining tables. Certainly, we still offer solid oak dining tables, but we have expanded our offerings to include other wood species as well as other items made of this hardwood. A sampling of our finest Oak products follows. Available in every item offered by Countryside, you will find that the base price of our furniture is calculated in red Oak. This American grown, responsibly harvested wood has an excellent record of longevity, is beautiful, and is also plentiful in the United States. It only makes sense that Oak would be our baseline for our fine Amish furniture.We offer both traditional red oak and quartersawn white oak. Quartersawn white oak is more expensive due to method by which it is cut for furniture making. Both are excellent choices for rustic, casual, or country style furniture.
Enormously popular, oak dining tables are frequently used in Country themed kitchens and dining rooms. Mission motifs call for sturdy, stable, strong tables in the beautiful Quartersawn White Oak.

Specifically for the kitchen, Oak is an excellent choice. This beautiful wood will darken slightly with age, but our catalyzed conversion varnish will not yellow like veneers and lacquers. The furniture you eat dinner on tonight will look the same when you pass it on to your grandchildren.
An excellent "grow with me wood", our baby furniture is gorgeous in both varieties of Oak that we offer. Somewhat more cost effective, when you are ordering multiple chairs, tables, or china cabinets Oak is a great wood. Not only does the grain pattern help with "matching", but it also provides great character in the furnishings so that accents and details can be less ornate, letting your fine furniture make a big statement. Oak also takes stain nicely and it looks great au naturel or very dark. Oak in a public setting is an excellent choice for a number of reasons.
