Countryside Amish Furniture’s poly furniture is made from High Density Polyethylene (HDPE). It never requires painting or staining and will not splinter or rot. It is also not affected by most corrosive substances. It requires no waterproofing, staining, or similar recurring maintenance other than an occasional washing with soap and water. If there are smudges or marks on the furniture from regular use, you may need to rub a soft bristle brush along the surface and in creases and corners to remove stubborn dirt particles and other debris. If you’re in a coastal region, we recommend rinsing your furniture with fresh water from time to time to clean off any salt residue that has landed on the pieces.
