Gently Curving Provincial and Pastoral Inspired Furnishings

At Countryside, we do our best to satisfy our customers. It was recently recommended that we add a Provincial collection to our offerings. So...without further ado, we are introducing French Country Style to our authentic Amish furniture gallery.

Dining Room

One of our favorite new collections is called Jolie. Pictured are the kitchen table, dining chairs, and hutch. Other items in the group include a butterfly leaf table, dining bench, bistro stool, and cafe chair. We love that in Brown Maple, this classic style is made a little more Modern. Other favorites in this style for kitchen and dining include the St. Croix, Duncanville, Dunwoody, and Matson Hill.

Office

French Country style for the office presents as Traditional with a twist. Our Annenberg set flows nicely between styles and, in a painted white finish, would definitely qualifiy as pastoral or French Country.

Bedroom

Some consider French Country style to be "Queen Anne Lite". Our Victoria Sleigh bedroom collection perfectly pairs the rustic meets regal nature of this timeless, up market trend.

Living Room

Elegant without being fussy and upscale without being snooty, our Wateridge set for living room is a perfect blend of classy and cozy.

Baby & Kids

Our Country Cottage Baby Furniture would be perfect for a French Country Cottage. The Scalloped aprons and feet that are almost cabriole perfectly embody Provincial style.

Here we use Provincial, Pastoral, and French Country interchangeably. This style came from a the period just after Louis Phillipe was King of France and during which the French turned their tastes to the less formal and less ornate. Modern furnishing styles that complement French Country furniture include shabby chic, Transitional, and eclectic. Frequently, distrissed white, ivory, or pastel finishes are associated with Provincial design. Specialty finishes like our Rustic Washboard, Vanilla Crumb, Linen, Spiced Hazelnut, and Arundel fit the bill.
