We used our new table (set for 10) last weekend, and I am thrilled with how easily the leaves come in and out (nice smooth mechanism), and how well they fit and blend (I didn't use a tablecloth - just placemats). The overall quality is fantastic, and the price extremely reasonable. I would recommend the 48" wide table to others because it can seat two at each end.

The dresser is very robust yet elegant. The soft close drawers are a great touch. This will be a family heirloom to be passed down one day.

I searched high and low for a table that was exactly like this- 2 leaves that were hidden away and making the table smaller than my old table in the closed position and bigger with the leaves. It's sturdy and gorgeous.

SIZE: My wife and I love our table. We're a large, nuclear family (four children). We eat together at least once a day; we play lots of board games, and there's lots of homework! Our extended family lives nearby so we wanted a table large enough to seat them. Once the two leaves are out, we can seat 10 comfortably. (Maybe 12 ... if they really like their neighbors.) STYLE: We liked this table for its simplicity and traditional Japanese (through tenon and trestle legs) look. Our children tend to make lots of messes so working around the feet is easy (Roomba is more thorough as well). We also like the ability to fit chairs where the legs rest, comfortably. FIT FINISH: The table is well made. The finish is even, hard, and beautiful. We chose Oak with Winter Bark to contrast our natural hickory floors. I have two complaints. The first is the joinery where the two edges meet in the middle. There's a slight bow in the middle which causes a 1/16th gap on each end. Not a huge deal, and to be expected from handmade furniture. My second issue is the through tenon. It's not real. The ends are faux covers to hide the bolts that hold the table together. The description even states "mortise & tenon trestle". I may end up making my own someday when the warranty and kids are gone. COMPANY: They're very communicative and friendly. The delivery company set up the table and made sure it was level and we were happy. We'll be buying from them again.

Ordering furniture without seeing it in person requires a bit of faith. Countryside was recommended to me by my sister, her dining table turned out great. I was on the hunt for the perfect mid-century bedroom set that would be built to last. I settled on the Cove City very quickly but I needed help when it came to wood and stain choice. The end result is a GORGEOUS set that perfectly suits our style. The wait is well worth it. We are so happy with our purchase and will definitely be recommending Countryside to anyone looking for furniture to last a lifetime.
