The Harcourt Contemporary Pedestal Table and the Chasten Dining Chairs are absolutely, utterly, completely GORGEOUS!!! I get this soft smile every time I walk by or sit down - still, after all this time. They're classically beautiful together. The curves. The wood grain. The craftsmanship. And the delivery was flawless. Polite. Efficient. Carefully intelligent. But back to the table and chairs - I mean it - they have become the centerpiece of the great room. And the stain is absolutely perfect.

And "white glove" doesn't even begin to describe the gentle, meticulous manner in which the set was delivered and assembled. We bought this table recently as our kitchen/dining table since we don't have a separate dining room. We love the look and feel, the pieces fit together incredibly smoothly and lock in place, and the leaves expand the table perfectly. We bought the 36x60 -- the table without any leaves can fit 4 people comfortably, or 6 people tightly. The table with both leaves can fit 8 people comfortably, or 12 people tightly. My husband loves the look of the rough sawn maple, where the "imperfections" add to the aesthetic, and it's both a visually elegant and a perfect "tavern table" feel at the same time.
