Countryside Amish Furniture: How We’ve Grown
Expanded Offerings at Countryside for 2015
Since 2010, Mel and Mary Stutzman have been growing Countryside Amish Furniture in a variety of ways. Many of our original offerings were just oak dining tables and other handcrafted tables. In 2014, with the addition of four full time team members, Countryside began to grow exponentially. In 2015, we added a number of products and have you to thank for the continued growth of our business. So, as we celebrate holidays and a brand new year, let's take a look at this year's journey.
In December of 2014, our website got a facelift. We launched a responsive, user experience driven platform to which our patrons have responded beautifully.
Entryway and Mudroom Furniture
In January of this year, we introduced items for which we had frequent requests. Benches and hall trees and all kinds of items for the foyer and entrance to your home have been added. These Amish made furnishings have been well received and we are pleased to offer more of these items than ever...with more to come.
Folding Kitchen Chairs
February brought us a new twist on our old favorite, the dining room chair. Chairs that fold work well for those who seat a crowd only on occasion in their homes or event venues. These chairs have also been stellar performers and have allowed us to serve our trade clientele better than ever. Also, if you see a chair that isn't offered in a folding version, contact us. It is highly probable that our Amish craftsmen can create a foldable version just for you. The proprietary folding mechanism is also Amish made in the USA.
Rustic and Live Edge Furniture
In May of 2015, our natural Live Edge furniture was introduced for dining room, office, and bedroom. This line continues to grow with items that are rough sawn and heavily distressed. Be on the look out for log and hickory furniture in 2016. For more information on our live edge furnishings, read more.
Though our shopping cart has always been secure, in July we opted to add the security feature to our entire domain to ensure our customers have a safe, stress-free shopping experience.
French Country Style Furniture
August brought a new style category for our dining room collection. Less formal than Queen Anne, but curvaceous and provincial, our French Country Furniture has been a smashing succes. Thanks to all who welcomed this new style addition. Items for office, bedroom, and nursery are coming right up.
Fully Upholstered Amish Living Room Furniture
Mel and Mary searched long and hard to find fully upholstered couches, chairs, and loveseats that could be authentically Amish made. These beautiful home furnishings are chic, comfortable, and built to last a lifetime. Featuring Ultrafabrics(r) and Ultraleathers(r), these pieces are made-to-order just like all our handcrafted furniture.
Amish Bar and Pub Furniture
When football was in the air and leaves began to change, we augmented our offerings of high top tables and bar stools. This collection continues to grow and has become one of our most shopped. If you see a dining table or dining chair you want in a bar or counter height, let us know. We can almost always make a table or chair 6"-12" taller.
Countryside's Customer Survey
Many of you contributed your thoughts about Countryside to our first ever service improvement survey. Your input is invaluable as we are already acting on it to improve our products, policies, and procedures. If you want to know more about survey results, click here.
Amish Outdoor Poly Furniture
You've been asking, and in November 2015, we finally got this brand new product line ready to go live. Officially, we will grand open our Outdoor "store" in January, but patio and deck furniture in recycled poly lumber is already available for purchase right here.
New products are being added every day and we take requests. From everyone here at the Countryside team, Mel, Mary, Bailiegh, Kara, Holly, Rachel, and Emily, thank you for a wonderful year. We look forward to serving you for many more years to come.
